L&CPU - Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union

The Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU) is the umbrella organisation for all photographic clubs in Lancashire & Cheshire, and members of the club can automatically enter their competitions.

The rules are reviewed annually but currently prints should be mounted on 50 x 40 cm mounts, digital files should be 1400 x 1050 pixels in sRGB colour space and slides should be mounted in standard 5 x 5 cm mounts. Entries are submitted in April, so members are usually asked to bring in their entries in March.

ICPA - Inter Club Photographic Alliance

Made up of about 30 local clubs, they hold two competitions every year, a Digital Projected image knock out and an Annual Print and Projected image competition, where clubs can enter up to 10 prints and 10 digital images. They offer single member and club awards, and we get 2 or 3 folios a year to add to our syllabus.

P.A.G.B. - Photographic Alliance of Great Britain

The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (known as the PAGB) is the umbrella organisation that provides benefits and co-ordinates specific events for the majority of photographic clubs and societies in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.

The PAGB does this through 15 regional organisations known as federations. These events and benefits apply to individual photographers, to societies and clubs, and to the federations themselves.

We as a club only enter two:
The GB Small Club projected image knockout and The GB Natural History projected image knockout.
